I had a very disappointing experience today. I asked the barista if they were only serving breakfast because I wanted something from the lunch menu. He replied, annoyed, “Breakfast all day.” I said, “Oh, okay,” and continued my order. When I ordered my coffee, he said they didn’t have the one I wanted, so I switched to a vanilla bean coffee and asked if it could be made cold. His response was rude and dismissive, which made me feel uncomfortable. I even stepped back and said, “Sorry, I didn’t know,” because I couldn’t understand why I was being spoken to that way over a simple question. After he noticed my discomfort, his attitude changed, but the experience was already ruined. I changed my order to go, and when my son asked what was wrong, I told him we weren’t staying because of how uncomfortable the interaction had made me feel. I ended up throwing the food away because I no longer felt comfortable eating it. Please read the other reviews and comments. Based on what I experienced, I felt I was treated differently than the customers before and after me, who did not receive the same attitude. If you’re Black, I would encourage you to be mindful of your own experience.

My husband found this cafe randomly in TikTok and suggested to go. It was a the right call: the staff is phenomenal, the ambient is amazing, the have multiple salons for your needs (grab and go, sit by the window, a coworking room, outdoor sitting) and the food, the food was delicious, fresh and you can tell made with intention. We got a sandwich each (the Gaucho and the Breakfast one) both made with love and dedication. Highly recommend 🙌🏽🙌🏽

my new fav spot on the island! fatima was our waitress and she was such a vibe. fiancé and i ordered cafe bombom, cortado, and steak and egg meals. you can also tell the work atmosphere between employees is fun which added to the vibes. the new outdoor patio giving full vacation vibes as well. love this spot! recommend!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My first visit to The Caffinated New Yorker was such a lovely experience. The fruit croissant was absolutely delightful—perfectly sweet, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The custard filling was rich and flavorful, and the fresh raspberries tied everything together in the best way. The coffee was freshly made, smooth, and comforting—exactly what you want alongside a pastry like that. Service was warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. The atmosphere is equally impressive—elegant, cozy, and comforting in a way that makes you want to stay a little longer than you planned. A truly wonderful first impression all around. I’ll definitely be coming back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I like the decors and the spacious interior, the entrance on the corner felt a nice vibe. But the pastries are just ok and the ham and cheese croissant (no pic) was only half warmed up did not get thru. The service was partially friendly but I’ll give it another shot when i visit next time.
